You might get hungry during your trip.  We thought of that.
So here are several fine local places to procure sustenance.

A Jean Kay's Pasty.
One of the reasons that Susa eats so well when she is in Michigan

Jean Kay's Pasties

The "pasty" is a traditional food item that is an absolute must for any trip to the Upper Peninsula.  It consists of a pie crust stuffed with meat or veggies.  They come in three flavors: meat with rutabaga, meat without rutabaga, and vegetarian.

Togo's Subs

Togo's Eatery

Simply Great Subs.  Open Late.
The Marquette location is better than the Harvey one, but either will do.  Susa is obsessed with these submarine sandwiches.

Vierling Restaurant

Vierling Restaurant

Often referred to as the "Vierling Saloon", we recommend this establishment for those who are interested in more upscale dining.

Susa's mother, in particular, loves this place. Although the fare is generally better suited to people of the carnivorous persuasion, Susa does confirm that they have fabulous tap rootbeer.
