Marquette has two hotels in the downtown area, and several along Highway 41.
None are more than five minutes apart so it strictly a matter of taste.
There is a reserved block of rooms for the Stone/Sondahl wedding at:
The Country Inn and Suites
2472 US Highway 41 West
Marquette, MI
(906) 225-1392
hotel website
This is the newest hotel in Marquette (built in 2006), which means that the window screens are good and strong, and will surely keep the deerflies at bay for at least twenty minutes. The wedding rate is $99 plus tax per night for a standard room (the normal rate is $112). Thus, if you reserve here, be sure to mention the wedding! The block is reserved for both Friday and Saturday nights, but they are flexible so you may reserve just one night if you desire.
Other hotels:
- The Ramada
412 W. Washington Street
Marquette, MI 49855
(906) 228-6000
hotel website
Another excellent choice, although it was discovered that they were nearly full on Friday night because of a visiting college football team... which gives one pause.
- The Landmark Inn
230 N Front St
Marquette, MI 49855
(906) 228-2580
hotel website
For those looking for a classy establishment, not affiliated with a larger chain.
- Many others, out along Highway 41, including:
Birchmont Motel (inexpensive, closer to wedding, further from reception.)
Comfort Suites,
Days Inn,
Econo Lodge,
Holiday Inn,
and Super 8
All of which are shown on this Google Map
